In a record-breaking year for the Green Flag Award, as the scheme marks its Silver Jubilee, Farnborough Business Park is celebrating.
Farnborough Business Park has raised a Green Flag and is the second top rated site in the whole of the country. The award is the international quality mark for parks and green spaces. The award win is testament to the hard work and dedication of the landscaping team Nurture Landscapes that make Farnborough Business Park a great space that everyone can enjoy whether they work on or live near the park.
Commenting on the news that Farnborough Business Park has achieved the Green Flag Award standard, Green Flag Award Scheme Manager Paul Todd said: “I would like to congratulate everyone involved in making Farnborough Business Park worthy of a Green Flag Award.”
“To meet the requirements demanded by the scheme is testament to the hard work of the staff and volunteers who do so much to ensure that Farnborough Business Park has high standards of horticulture, safety and environmental management and is a place that supports people to live healthy lives.”
Nurture CEO, Peter Fane, commented: “The past 18 months or so have shown how important the local park green space is to the community and it gives us at The Nurture Group a great sense of pride being able to maintain these areas which benefit so many. Our individual teams all work towards the same goal – to care for and nurture our parks and environment, making them accessible for everyone to enjoy. Having so many of our sites appear amongst the Green Flag winners is testament to the hard work and passion that our teams put in day in day out; a brilliant achievement that everyone should be most proud of.”
The Green Flag Award scheme, managed by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy under licence from the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, recognises and rewards well-managed parks and green spaces, setting the benchmark standard for the management of green spaces across the United Kingdom and around the world.
