Giving back to our community has always been a key focus for Farnborough Business Park and every year our park teams join Community Matters Partnership (CMP) to volunteer their time for our park charities.
It’s a great team builder and feel good factor for everyone involved. Activities vary from helping sort through donations for our park charity – Phyllis Tuckwell – to creating crafts for another of our charities Sebastian Action Trust.
This year a special award went to Nicolette Ernst-Kitchen from our park team for going above and beyond over the years to help make a difference.
Simon Jarvis CEO of CMP said: “Nicolette has been a tremendous support to CMP over the years; a real pleasure to work with – someone who consistently goes the extra mile.
“Nothing is ever too much trouble – helping coordinate parking for the beach clean, collecting Toys for the Toy Drive from other companies, helping organise a space for us to wrap presents, suggesting opportunities for us to speak with other partners, and introducing us to new tenants on site.
“She truly gets CMP: she is a brilliant advocate for us and, in her own words, “everyone should be a CMP member.”
Well done Nicolette. We’re proud to have you as part of the team!
Beyond location and specification, organisations are increasingly considering how design, comfort and access to amenities shape day-to-day experience and longer-term working culture.
Rather than being viewed as an added extra, workplace wellbeing is now part of how many businesses think about creating environments that feel supportive, engaging and fit for modern working patterns.
When we think of modern office buildings, we picture dynamic, multi-use environments that recognise a simple truth: productivity flourishes when spaces adapt to people, not the other way round.
This vision is a world away from conventional desk-focused layouts, moving towards integrated spaces accommodating diverse working styles.
